Three Tasty Recipes to Treat Constipation

Constipation (or constipation) is a very common condition that can appear for different reasons:

  • change in diet or habits
  • a stressful job
  • do not evacuate when your body “asks”
  • a low fiber diet
  • not drink enough water
  • taking certain medications or vitamin supplements
  • diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, hypothyroidism, etc.

The causes of constipation can be many and varied. We consider that we suffer from this condition if we evacuate three times or less in a week and, sometimes, in addition to being hard and dry, the stools are difficult to expel.

Constipation is uncomfortable and can even be painful. We feel heavy, tired and even bloated.

Constipation is a disease that affects everyone at some point in their lives. But without a doubt, through tests, a doctor can determine the cause of constipation and the most appropriate treatment.

We can also prevent it with a proper diet that does not lack water, fiber, fruits and vegetables. Below are three simple recipes that can serve as an example.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggplants
  • 4 onions
  • 200 grams of rice (preferably whole)
  • 100 grams of ham
  • 12 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 endive
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Water
  • Olive oil
  • Vinegar
  • salt

Method of preparation

Peel and chop the onions, then sauté them. Chop the ham and add along with the onions. Now, peel the eggplants and cut them into small cubes. Add cubes to onions. Season them to taste and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

Then peel the garlic cloves and let them brown in a pan with a little oil. Add rice and sauté briefly. Add water (a little more than twice as much rice) and a pinch of salt. Let it cook for 18 to 20 minutes. In the case of brown rice, the time varies from 30 to 40 minutes.

Grease a bowl with a little oil. Cover the bottom with a layer of rice, an eggplant layer in the middle and a layer of rice on top. Lay the layers carefully so they can come off easily afterwards.

Finally, wash the tomatoes and endive. Chop everything and season with oil, vinegar and salt to serve with the eggplants.

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 8 small potatoes
  • 250 grams of mushrooms
  • 140 grams of arugula
  • 3 cloves of garlic
