The Brownie is a kind of cake, however, unlike this one, the Brownie does not grow and contains more chocolate than a normal cake.

One of the more curious theories that try to explain Brownie’s creation is that it happened by accident;  when a cook tried to bake a chocolate cake and forgot to use yeast. From then on, Brownie became the Americans’ favorite dessert and conquered the rest of the world very quickly.

There are a multitude of recipes for making this delicious chocolate “cake”. It is usually accompanied by sour cream or vete to remove its density.

Today, it is not only made in the United States, but also in family homes around the world, sold in restaurants as a dessert or snack, and also marketed and ready to heat.

But nothing better than preparing it at home, recipes range from the simplest to the most elaborate and many types of chocolate can be used.

We will now present two recipe options, the original Brownie and a very simple and quick one to prepare, which you can make at any time without much work and which, without a doubt, will help you to surprise your guests.

1. The original Brownie

Ingredients

– 150 g of margarine

– 1 cup of sugar tea

– 3 eggs

– ½ cup of wheat flour tea

– 200 g of chopped semisweet chocolate

– 250 g of chopped walnuts

– Cream ice cream or whipped cream as a side dish

Method of preparation

First heat the oven to 180ºC. Beat two egg whites and set aside. Beat butter, sugar, 2 yolks and 1 whole egg; until a light cream forms, then add the flour.

Melt the semisweet chocolate (in the microwave) on low power and stir it every 30 seconds. Mix the melted chocolate into the batter and continue beating. Add the walnuts and stir with a spoon and, finally, add the egg whites and stir gently until incorporated into the dough.

Line a medium rectangular pan with parchment paper, place the dough and bake for 40 minutes. Cool, cut into squares and serve with ice cream or whipped cream, or both.

Take two cups and divide the dough between them. Microwave a cup on full power for 1 minute and 45 seconds and begin monitoring the texture of the Brownie, repeating the cooking process from time to time; until it reaches the desired texture.

To accompany, in this case, we can opt for a scoop of vanilla ice cream or sour cream, or even the accompaniments of the previous recipe.

* Sometimes the cup overflows, so it’s a good idea to put a plate under the cup while keeping it in the microwave, so it doesn’t get too dirty.

* The Brownie can be consumed in the cup itself, but if you prefer to eat from a plate, it is better to grease the cup so that it is easy to disassemble the Brownie.

So, ready to eat?
