What foods to consume?

  • Almonds:  How about starting by consuming 6 almonds daily? They are rich in vitamin E, therefore perfect for nourishing the eyelash hair follicles. In addition, they have polyphenol, an antioxidant that will prevent the lashes from falling out.
  • Olive Oil:  Certainly many people already know that olive oil strengthens the eyelashes and offers us a lot of vitamin E, as well as offering antioxidants capable of acting against aging and the weakness of the same.
  • Beans:  It is a natural resource rich in iron, zinc and vitamin B complex. And what do these elements offer for eyelash health? They strengthen, nourish and provide oxygen… So they are excellent!

1. Brush your eyelashes at night

It’s easy and effective. We must think of eyelashes as we think of our hair. A very effective way to stimulate their growth is brushing them. In this way we will eliminate dead cells and stimulate circulation in the region. A daily routine with good results.

2. Castor oil treatment

Infallible, effective and economical. It’s worth having him at home and on our beauty set. That’s because few oils are as useful for the lashes as castor oil, a natural resource with which we will achieve maximum hydration of the lashes.

To benefit from it, just do a small massage with a cotton wool soaked in oil. If we do this at night, after having brushed them, we will gradually see how the lashes look thicker.

3. The talc trick

This fantastic trick is one of the secrets of famous makeup artists. It’s so simple it will surprise you:

  • First, take a mascara and apply to the ends of the lashes, making sure  they are well apart.
  • Then gently sprinkle the eyelashes with talcum powder. That way we will give you more density. We can apply the talc with another brush of mascara, as we see in the image below, it’s easier.
  • When they are covered (be careful not to get into the eye), apply mascara again. The best way to make the lashes look denser is to apply the product  from the root  upwards. Never leave the ends, as this is the detail that gives them the most length.

4. Should mascara always be black?

This is, on occasion, a golden question. The truth is, not always. There are several features that can serve us very well to display thicker lashes, such as:

  • Mascara with transparent shine. Offers light, density and a spectacular look, especially in the mornings. If we correct the dark circles we get an even more sophisticated touch.
  • Coffee colored mascara  combined with black: another makeup artist’s trick. From the root to the middle of the eyelash we apply the coffee colored mascara, then we edge the ends delicately with the black mascara, that way they will appear wider and thicker. Already proved? That’s awesome!

5. Beware of eyelash curlers and waterproof mascaras

We know that eyelash curlers offer us a very nice touch in the look, but it’s not convenient to overuse them. That’s because we punish the eyelashes and run the risk of weakening them. So if for some reason you are forced to use it daily, remember to moisturize your lashes at least twice a day with petroleum jelly or castor oil.

The same happens with the waterpoof mascara. We know that thanks to its composition it lasts much longer and we can even go to the pool or the beach with it without it disappearing. But what is its drawback? It is a lot of work to remove it, since there are always small traces of the product that can damage the lashes.
